Malaysia will work with Singapore to further elevate bilateral ties, says PM

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia will work together with Singapore to further elevate Malaysia-Singapore bilateral relations, states Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Anwar mentioned this in answer Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s tweet on his visit as the 10th Primary Minister of Malaysia.

“Thank you PM @leehsienloong for the telephone call and comfortable wishes. As close up neighbours and companions in Asean, Malaysia and Singapore furthermore share many parallels, intertwined history and very close and energetic people-to-people connections.

“I look forward to meeting you at the earliest opportunity and coming together to further elevate Malaysia-Singapore bilateral relations, inch Anwar tweeted.

Lee, in his earlier tweet, congratulated Anwar and expressed his interest to work along with Anwar as well as the new Malaysian government to help strengthen bilateral ties.
