TRAT: After three days of heavy rain and additional weather, significant flood is still occurring in two of this eastern province’s regions.

Much of the Muang district, which is about 100 centimeters deep, was still submerged in home water on Monday, despite efforts to discharge it.

Several roads are still blocked, and people have fled their flooded homes and neighborhoods to settle in warmer areas.

Trat has been&nbsp, battered by storms since Friday. On Sunday, officials started releasing water from the Sra Sisiad tank in the Muang district to stop it from overflowing.

People of Khao Saming, one of the province’s most flood-affected towns, are also being helped by provincial authorities.

According to climate forecasters, more rain was expected on Monday, and government Natthapong Sanguanjitr predicted it would likely continue into Tuesday.

About 900 households in Muang and Khao Saming towns were reportedly impacted by flood, according to a report released on Monday by the Hazard Prevention and Mitigation Department. Resources for emergency relief have already been released from both regions, which release them as disaster zones. &nbsp,
