Residents of Bangkok’s Phaya Thai neighborhood are urging the State Railway of Thailand ( SRT ) to give them 10 % of its 500-rai Makkasan land before the start of a high-speed rail project connecting three airports.
The terminals are Don Mueang in Bangkok, Suvarnabhumi in Samut Prakan, and U-Tapao in Rayong.
The government approved a accommodation development project for low-income residents in the city’s affected communities in March of last year.
The SRT, the Ministry of Social Development, Human Security, and the Community Organization Development Institute may implement the plan.
