South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol abandoned the attempt just hours after declaring martial law in a surprise late-night TV address on Tuesday ( Dec 3 ), as lawmakers voted against his declaration and thousands of protesters gathered in the streets.
Almost all caught up in his surprise attempt to impose South Korea’s second martial law in more than four decades, including politicians and South Korea’s most ally groups around the world.
Earlier, Yoon said criticism parties had taken the political process prisoner, adding that there was a want to ,” secure a democratic South Korea from the threats posed by North Korea’s communist forces”.
But,  , he did not give information of the North’s challenges.
