S. Iswaran, a former transport minister, received a 12-month prison sentence on Thursday ( October 3 ).
Next year, he admitted guilt to five counts of obstructing the justice system, including one count of obstructing the passage of the court.  ,
Another 30 claims were taken into consideration for punishment.
Prior to now, the defense had argued for no more than eight months of prison while the prosecution had requested six to seven months of confinement.
