To promote both provinces ‘ cultural identities while providing local communities with long-term economic benefits, a” Live Airport” concept has been tested at the airports in Phitsanulok and Nan.
On Thursday, Deputy Transport Minister Manaporn Charoensri and a delegation of DoA officials toured Phitsanulok Airport to check on how the Life Airport is running.
On November 1, the Phitsanulok and Nan provinces in northern India, where the Life Airport task was launched, were they?
According to Ms. Manaporn, the idea of promoting flights as the first doorway into each province came from the promotion of airports as an unofficial starting point.
To increase tourist attractions and encourage community involvement through cultural events and festivals in the airport area, the DoA, the Tourism Authority of Thailand ( TAT ), and local businesses collaborated on this project.
She claimed that she had ordered the DoA to set up shop at the Nan and Phitsanulok terminals to display local businesses and artisans ‘ products in order to help locals make money while doing the job.
To create a vibrant atmosphere, there were also planned arts and crafts sessions and shows.
According to DoA director-general Danai Raungsorn, Phitsanulok’s Life Airport task was represented through a large water lily-inspired inside theme, ambience sound effects to increase visitors ‘ experience, and a lineup of year-round social activities.
The Live Airport project is also in line with the government’s” Aew Nua Khon La Khrung” ( Travelling North at Half Price ) scheme to boost tourism in 17 northern provinces, said Ms Manaporn.
She added that the DoA was also given the task of coordinating the project’s growth with regional airports, communities, and relevant sectors, as well as with other aspects of aircraft growth, such as improving airport facilities to meet international standards.
In order to make airport travel easier for passengers, the growth plans also include a larger number of feed buses.
The airport’s current liaison with the following Phitsanulok Bus Terminal and the city’s central Phitsanulok is now the Phitsanulok Land Transportation Office’s feeder buses.
