Lion City Sailors owner Forrest Li set to become FAS president

Forrest Li, a billionaire tech entrepreneur and Lion City Sailors owner, will take over as president of the Football Association of Singapore ( FAS ).

Li’s slate was the only candidate to be eligible for the upcoming FAS election on April 28, according to the association’s announcement on Friday ( Apr 18 ), making him the new chairman in place of Bernard Tan.

The Tampines Rovers president Desmond Ong, Hougang United president Bill Ng, Sailors public administrator Tan Li Yu, Burnley FC chief of staff Sean Bai, and national staff captain Hariss Harun are also among the members of the team.

The vote, which will take place during an amazing parliament, &nbsp, involves both slate-basis and individual-basis seats.

A group of nine candidates may be chosen in the slate-basis vote, with its head serving as FAS chairman.

One of the team’s eight individuals may serve as deputy leader, four as vice-presidents, and three as committee members.

On April 28, a further six committee members may be proposed and chosen by the committee members.

Ng, Tan, Bai, and Hariss will serve as vice-presidents while Ong will been elected as Li’s assistant.

The other three people of Li’s group, Sailors executive producer Bruce Liang, St. Joseph’s Institution International president Roy Quek, Tasek Academy, and Social Services direct manager Arivan Shanmugaratnam, may serve as committee members.
