SINGAPORE: The library@orchard will undergo a two-year revamp from Oct 28, the National Library Board ( NLB ) announced on Friday ( Aug 6 ).  ,
According to NLB, this is a part of efforts to revitalize library and provide customers with new experiences and experiences, according to a press release from NLB.
Library@orchard is expected to reopen in the next quarter of 2026.
The collection moved from Ngee Ann City to its present location at Orchard Gateway Shopping Center in October 2014, making it NLB’s first double-storey store library.
According to NLB’s Chief Executive Officer Ng Cher Pong,” It is proper after ten years to recreate what more we can do with the room.”
The overhaul will provide for everyone who visits the collection located in the heart of Orchard Road with an exciting new chapter.
Post-revamp, the collection may include tech-enabled engaging and interactive spaces, as well as a novel children’s section.
The library will be revamped with new elements gradually introduced under NLB’s LAB25 ( Libraries and Archives Blueprint 2025 ), according to NLB in the spirit of experimentation and innovation.
