Anwar Ibrahim, the prime minister of Malaysia, has urged the government to reject Ismail Sabri Yaakob and the country’s anti-graft agency’s findings, and he is open to hearing about allegations of misconduct involving members of his cabinet.
Ismail Sabri was named as a suspect in a fraud investigation earlier this month regarding RM700 million ( US$ 158.2 million ) in allegedly spending money on a promotional campaign while serving as prime minister.
There are no claims filed against Ismail Sabri, and the investigation is ongoing. After attending a breaking of the fast event in parliament, Anwar was quoted as saying,” Let us not judge, we must respect the rule of law.”

Ismail Sabri came up with the concept of” Keluarga Malaysia,” which means” Malaysian family,” to encourage Malaysians to work together to combat the COVID-19 pandemic and achieve shared prosperity.
When Anwar assumed office as prime minister in November 2022, it was replaced by the phrase” Malaysia Madani” or” Civil Malaysia.”
After a previous meeting on Wednesday that was postponed due to medical leave, Ismail Sabri is scheduled to make his statement with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission on Friday ( Mar 7 ).
