On Wednesday night, a lion was spotted waiting for its prey on a street in the province of Phetchaburi’s Kaeng Krachan National Park.
On Thursday night, park staff assigned to the Bang Krang place reported finding the lion walking and relaxing in the middle of a street between kilometre signs 13 and 14 inside the playground.
They also audibly aud the shouts of animal as if they were in danger. The staff members were able to see the leopard’s behavior while parking their patrol car in the area, which they thought might be deer hunting. Shortly afterwards, the lion walked towards a jungle, said Mr Mongkol.
The lion had a gap on its right neck, so it was the same one that was   earlier seen relaxing on a path at kilometre indicator 14 on October 15. He claimed that the bird has frequently been seen in the park’s vicinity between kilometres 11 and 14.
This indicated that this section of the road was a great place for langurs, who frequently climbed branches to get food, to kill victim.
The lion and a dark panther’s numerous sightings also demonstrated the balance of the food chain for both carnivores and their prey, according to Mr. Mongkol.
