Despite the pressure caused by the Russia-Ukraine war, several foreign leaders have already signalled they will attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Assistance (Apec) summit to become hosted by Thailand in November, said Foreign Affairs Minister Don Pramudwinai recently.
Nevertheless , when asked when US President May well Biden and other prominent leaders would attend, Mr Don mentioned they have given “positive responses” — though their plans may change if an emergency arises.
He said the US has a reason to attend the meeting, because it will take over the chairmanship of Apec from Thailand next year.
