Late deal keeps coalition happy

Speaker Wan Nor is supported by Pheu Thai of the MFP.

Wan Muhammad Nor Matha, the head of the Prachachat Party, will be nominated as House speaker by the Pheu Thai Party and the Move Forward Party( MFP ), putting an end to a contentious race for the position.

Pita Limjaroenrat, the leader of the MFP, stated at a press conference on Monday night that the two parties had decided to name Mr. Wan Nor for the position of House speaker, with an MP from that party serving as the first lieutenant speaker and another Pheu Thai MP.

According to him, the eight potential partnership parties agreed to this plan.

After Pheu Thai informed the MFP that the dispute was between the two parties, six partnership celebrations were abruptly excluded from the press event.

Phumtham Wechayachai, the assistant Pheu Thai leader, declared on Monday that Mr. Wan Nor was well-liked by all parties and that this would put an end to the post-related impasse.

He claimed that in order to establish a political government, the most crucial factor was to keep wholeness.

Cholnan Srikaew, the leader of Pheu Thai, assured the party’s MPs that they would not select anyone to challenge Mr. Wan Nor.

After Pheu Thai suggested giving Mr. Wan Nor the House speaker position to end the deadlock over the visit during a Monday inside meeting, the media conference was held.

Early in the day, Party MPs and directors gathered to discuss the matter and decided that Mr. Wan Nor, a seasoned politician and former House speech, was the most qualified candidate for the position.

After Pheu Thai and the MFP were unable to resolve the impasse in their appointment with the other six potential coalition parties on Sunday, Mr. Wan Nor was chosen as PHEU Thai’s candidate. Before the House meets now to elect a new speech, they were able to come to an official agreement.

In the event that Mr. Pita’s attempt to get excellent minister failed, they discussed letting Pheu Thai take the initiative in forming the new government next year. Pheu Thai did resign in exchange and allow the MFP to assume the House speaker position.

As soon as the benefits of the May 14 general election were made public, both factions fought over the position. While Pheu Thai remained steadfast in its conviction that it deserved the position of head of the legislative branch, the MFP wanted Padipat Suntiphada, a Phitsanulok MP, to be the new House speech.

Pheu Thai instructed advertising shops to hold off until the eight-party alliance’s joint press conference at 7 p.m. following the official opening of parliament yesterday.

After learning of Pheu Thai’s present, Mr. Wan Nor stated that he did not want the position but would accept it if it was expedite the formation of the alliance. The two functions and the other partners agreed on this.

If they come to an agreement, I’m willing to accept the position, he said.

The Prachachat Party, which won nine House votes in the general election, was the third-largest group out of the eight-party union. According to a cause, Pheu Thai’s decision to support Mr. Wan Nor was unable to quell group conflicts because some factions were vying for the position.

The MFP had two options after Pheu Thai refused to give in, according to the source: accept the plan or leave the alliance and join the opposition.

According to the origin, Mr. Pita, the MFP’s leader, might not be appointed prime minister if it chose the second option, but it could deal with important ministries to support its core policies. Questionable ones, such as changing Section 112 or the Lese Majeste Law, would probably be put on hold.

Chuan Leekpai, a former House speaker and member of the Democrat record, supported Mr. Wan Nor on Monday and the following day, saying the Prachachat leader had already demonstrated his competence. He claimed to have collaborated with Mr. Wan Nor, who is regarded as competent and objective.
