
According to the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone may travel to Thailand on Thursday to improve diplomatic ties.
The Lao PM was officially invited to visit the country by Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra after the government announced on its site that the organized visit came after the ministry’s site. It would be Mr. Sonexay’s primary official trip to Thailand since taking office as prime minister. Both events will examine ways to further strengthen diplomatic associations in different areas, including industry, communication and people-people exchanges.
The officials will also focus on popular challenges, including cocaine, online frauds, human trafficking, PM2.5 waste and the management of shared water sources, according to the government.
His visit coincides with Thailand and Laos ‘ 75th anniversary of political relations beginning.
The Thai-Lao Business Forum is expected to be inaugurated in Bangkok by Mr. Sonexay. Their Highnesses the King and Queen will also be present with the Lao PM and his partner during his visit.
