Lands Department denies Alpine title deeds nullified

The removal of religious land had reaffirm the status of the Shinawatra family and allow them to receive compensation.

The controversial monastic plot in Pathum Thani province, which includes the Alpine Golf Club and a residential complex, has not yet been overturned, according to the Department of Lands ( DoL ), as reported by the media on Wednesday.

Any change in Alpine landownership would cause the plot to revert to religious ownership. If so, Alpine Golf & Sports Club Co and its people would have been entitled to suitable payment, according to an article the Isra News agency published on Tuesday.

The company’s stocks are now held by the Shinawatra community.

” No, no. No already. The lieutenant permanent secretary for the inside, who has the authority to sign the impeachment of Alpine’s name deeds, has not signed it however”, said DoL director-general Pornpoth Penpas, responding to the media report.

According to a resource within the Ministry of Interior, Chada Thaised, a top Bhumjaithai Party member, signed the decree on September 3rd, 2012, shortly before stepping down as assistant inside minister.

After her dying, the Maha­mongkut Ratchawittayalai Foundation was appointed trustee of Noem’s house. The property was sold to Alpine Real Estate and Alpine Golf and Sports Club by the base.

Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, who took office on Aug 18 last month, used to carry 22.41 million securities in Alpine Golf &amp, Sports Club Co. Yet, she had transferred those stocks to her mother, Khunying Potjaman na Pombejra, as of Sept 4, according to the Isra News report.

A record of owners dated Sept 4, 2024 indicates Khunying Potjaman, Panthongtae Shinawatra and Pinthongta Shinawatra Kunakornwong keep 29.88 million, 22.42 million and 22.41 million shares in the company.
