After Mr. Suriya stated last week that the project had large investment expenses and other issues, including those involving the atmosphere, the UTN MP took this action.
In addition to the lineup Eastern Economic Corridor task, the Prayut-Chan-o-cha government started the land bridge project in 2021 to boost Thailand’s economy. The 20-year national technique is said to be in line with the land bridge job.
The government wants to build a large transit system to improve communication in the southern Bay region through the property bridge project.
According to Mr. Suriya, the Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning ( OTP ) is currently conducting the project’s study.
He noted that the economic project is anticipated to also improve living conditions. The government has instructed all agencies to properly deal with the task and resolve issues that may affect people’s lives.
A feasibility research and an environmental impact assessment are currently being conducted, according to OTP producer Panya Chupanich.
He stated that the project will just deal with property confiscation and that it will require an investment of approximately 1 trillion baht, all of which will come from the private field.
Three foreign owners had recently expressed interest in the project, he claimed.
The government intends to stage a show in other countries, including China, the US, and Europe, in an effort to attract more foreign buyers.
According to him, a public hearing may be held to solicit input for the feasibility study from all industries, including the private and public sectors.
