NAKHON RATCHASIMA: On Wednesday night, the mother of a Thai employee in Israel was horrified to learn that her brother had perished in battle there.

Surangkhana Khunsri, a native of Moo 5 town in tambon Nong Yang in this northeast province’s Chalerm Phra Kiat area, claimed she had formerly heard upsetting news that her 25-year-old son, Pongsathorn, had been kidnapped and taken hostage by Hamas militants. When the Thai consulate in Israel called her on Wednesday evening around 9 p.m. and informed her that Pongsathorn had passed away but had revealed the cause of his death, she claimed that the promise had abruptly vanished. She added that the ambassador do get in touch with her again on Thursday afternoon to give more information.

According to Ms. Surangkhana, she visited the Muang region to honor the Thao Suranaree statue and prayed for her brother’s survival in the hopes of a miracle.

On Thursday night, a large number of people showed up at her home to provide social support.

According to Mrs. Surangkhana, Pongsathorn, also known as Green, sent his hard-earned money home to buy the home a new house.
