Koepka warms up for PGA defence with LIV Golf Singapore victory

In two days, Brooks Koepka issued a warning before his PGA Championship defense when he won LIV Golf Singapore by two strokes from American couple Cam Smith and Marc Leishman.

The 34-year-old American, a five-time main winner, finished with only 15 under for the first person to capture four personal titles on the Saudi-backed breakaway circuit, which is now in its second full season.

” I feel great. Koepka, who is currently in excellent shape heading to Valhalla to support the key he won a year ago at Oak Hill, said:” It’s a lot better than I did last week.

” It’s all starting to come around. I’ve put in a lot of job and I like the way issues are trending”, added Koepka

” I just need to go back the following year to make sure everything goes on, do the right thing, and then proceed.”

Koepka had a three-shot lead at the start of the third and final large, but after birdie in the fourth and fifth, she did not appear to be relinquishing it.

A nightmare five on nine proved to be a temporary speck as strokes on 10 and 15 sealed the success, despite a command from Smith, who fired a seven- under 64 to end on 13 under, and Leishman, who carded a 66.

Koepka expressed satisfaction with the way they played all week, saying,” I only played very constantly.”

” I made a few brake putts now, and the ball-striking was strong. I did n’t really think I made too many mistakes. And that’s a wonderful experience because it kind of feels simple.

A year after winning a playoff game in Adelaide, Smith and Leishman’s final-round achievements helped Ripper GC win a subsequent consecutive team name.

The all- American team, which likewise features Matt Jones and Lucas Herbert, won with a 32- under- line overall.
