Kinderland Woodlands preschool teacher fired on same day that management first viewed footage of alleged abuse

SINGAPORE: It took more than a week for the administration of the school chain to view the same footage after the principal watched video of what was allegedly abused happening at the school.

This information was revealed in a press release by Kinderland late on Wednesday( Sep. 6 ) night, following an encounter with parents about recent events that has already led to the arrest and accusation of ill-treating of the teacher.

On Wednesday at Kinderland Preschool @ Woodlands Mart, the company held a fourth dialogue session with parents during which it gave them an overview of the events.

TIMELINE RELATING TO KINDERLAND

The government organization in charge of the sector, the Early Childhood Development Agency ( ECDA ), paid a visit to Kinderland Woodlands Mart on August 11 to observe students in the classroom.

More than a year had passed since the resignation of the school’s other teacher, who had produced the movies depicting the alleged abuse.

Ms. Mahirah Yasid, the university’s then-principal, was invited by ECDA to view the video footage of the professor who had resigned in July on August 17. & nbsp, On the same day, Ms. Mahirah informed Kinderland’s headquarters about the video footage, and a disciplinary investigation was launched to look into Lin Min, the teacher who was allegedly seen rough-housing kids in the clip.

On August 22, five days later, during the initial stage of the administrative investigation, Lin received a notice letter from Kinderland. She was then” co-partnered with another educator” and” closely supervised” by Ms. Mahirah. & nbsp,

The film was initially viewed by Kinderland’s supervision on August 28, the day it went online. The next stage of the administrative investigation was finished on the same day, and Lin was fired. She was even taken into custody that morning.

Ms. Mahirah was relieved of her director and nbsp responsibilities by Kinderland on August 30. On the same day, Lin was charged.
