Killing of aid workers by Israeli soldiers deserves ‘universal condemnation’: Shanmugam

WHAT REALLY happened?

The body of the 15 crisis workers, who were from the Red Cross, Red Crescent, United Nations, and Palestinian Civil Emergency Service, were discovered a week later by UN and Palestinian Red Crescent leaders.

Emergency personnel wearing their clothes and plainly marked ambulances and fire cars, with their lights on, being shot on by men, were captured on video recovered from the cellular telephone of one of the dead men and released by the Palestinian Red Crescent.

The Israeli military released new information on April 5 that contradicted its first accounts of the killing in Rafah, in southern Gaza, but said that the evidence was still being looked at by police.

The military claimed that army had identified at least six of the 15 dead as people of a violent party, but they had not provided any specifics or proof of how the identities were made.

Mr. Shanmugam noted that Israel does use Hamas ‘ strategies to support its military activities. He questioned whether for similarities were accurate.

Is that even an reason for a position that claims its values are based on the rule of law? he wrote.

” These deeds deserve to be condemned by everyone.”
