This Saturday, as is customary on National Children’s Day, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra may open up Government House to welcome children and their families.
Jirayu Houngsub, the PM Office Spokesman, said on Monday that the Prime Minister will meet the kids in the party, which features many actions hosted by the Prime Minister’s Office to mark the occasion.
The kids will also be able to play roleplay a spread as government representatives in Thai and English while sitting in the Prime Minister’s seat in the Thai Khu Fah Building.
Later in the day, Ms. Paetongtarn, the youngest daughter of former leading Thaksin Shinawatra, has plans to hold a video conference with young people who represent their views on a range of issues in different regions of the nation.
Meanwhile, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration ( BMA ) has organised special activities to celebrate Children’s Day at four locations in the city.
They include period events and amusement, including a gift draw and complimentary meals and snacks at the Thai-Japan Bangkok Youth Centre in Din Daeng area, space-themed exhibits and workshops at the Children’s Discovery Museum II in Thung Khru district, and science-themed learning exercises at Bangkok City Library in Phra Nakhon district.
The BMA has also made arrangements for their young guests to go inside City Hall 2’s president’s seat.
