Khon Kaen school praised for skipping Mother’s Day event

Netizens appreciate university’s awareness to students from different family backgrounds

Citizens of Khon Kaen province’s Bannongtae School are applauding for avoiding the conventional Mother’s Day celebrations to handle students from a variety of families.

The university announced early on Saturday that it would not hold a Mother’s Day meeting, which is usually held on students ‘ official Facebook page.

According to the statement, it was taken into account of various family dynamics and the awareness of kids whose parents might not be able to attend.

A significant portion of parents work in Bangkok and other significant economic centers, especially in several northeastern regions. As a result, babies are cared for by parents or other friends.

Bannongtae School encourages students to make greeting cards for their protectors at home instead of the customary service.

On 700 shares and a large number of positive comments were quickly made about the Facebook post.

One commentator recalled how many of their classmates cried during Mother’s Day festivities because their families were excluded. He later recalled how many other commenters backed the decision.

Another praised the announcement as a” good idea”, expressing admiration for the school’s present approach.

The class is” courteous of its children,” according to many.

In Thailand, Mother’s Day is a federal holiday celebrated on every Aug 12 in honour of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother, who may change 92 this year.
