Ken Lim acquitted of making sexual comments to woman in 2012, in first of five trials

Previous Singapore Hero determine Ken Lim Chih Chiang has been cleared of making sexual advances toward a singer-songwriter after 12 years.

District Judge Wong Peck delivered the verdict on Wednesday ( Dec 11 ), in the first of five trials Lim is contesting.

On July 25, 2012, Lim was accused of asking a 26-year-old girl if she was a mother and what would happen if he had intercourse with her right away.

This allegedly&nbsp, happened at their next meeting, when the girl met the music producer in his company at Hype Records for guidance on a job in the industry.

More than ten years later, after hearing rumors that Lim had been accused of making sexual notes to different people, she reported to the authorities in June 2023.

Lim was &nbsp, charged in September 2023&nbsp, with insulting the person’s modesty, which carries a prison term of up to one month, a great, or both.

The prosecution relied on the woman’s testimony at trial, as well as her father and her household members based on what she told them after meeting Lim.

Lim, 60, took the stand in his own army at the trial, saying that the lady was telling “blatant” sits and took his remarks on her music” to individually”.
