Jurong West recorded the highest total rainfall of 318mm over the months of March 19 and March 20, according to national water agency PUB on Thursday ( Mar 20 ).
The highest precipitation recorded in northeast Singapore was 298.4mm.
Both figures are above the average monthly rainfall in Singapore of 209.7mm for March, according to PUB’s Facebook article.
Around 2 p.m. on Thursday, flood also occurred along a 15 m stretch along the crossing of Mountbatten Road and Jalan Seaview for about two days.
This was brought on by” a combination of ( a ) high tide that temporarily overran the adjacent canal and surrounding roadside drains,” according to PUB. Additionally, it stated that flooding was occurring within a local property’s grounds.
The organization claimed that Quick Response Teams ( QRTs ) officers assisted residents in installing portable barriers to stop flooding. Additionally, it set up portable sends to remove water from the flooded roads.
PUB issued flood risk instructions for a number of places over the course of two weeks, including the crossing of , Mountbatten Road, and Jalan Seaview, as well as along the Pan-Island Expressway heading East toward Changi Airport after the Tampines Expressway return and the East Coast Parkway heading Eastward to Changi Airport after the Bayshore Road return.
Additionally, it deployed QRTs to provide guidance where there are flood-risks.
The 2025 Porsche Singapore Classic golfing game, which was scheduled to begin on Thursday, was also delayed due to the persistent storm.  ,
Concerns have also been raised about the heavy rains that have affected important functions in Singapore, aside from flooding.  ,
In a LinkedIn post on Thursday night, ground handler and in-flight providing solutions provider SATS warned its Singapore gateway group that thunder alerts will cause delays to operations at Changi Airport and Seletar Airport, which would entail limiting flight operations.
The rain boom is expected to continue until Friday, with moderate to heavy rain expected to pour down on Singapore, according to the Meteorological Service Singapore on Monday.
