While we await , Bake Cheese Tart’s pop-up , this December, Chinese cookie brand , Sugar Butter Tree , may be making its debut in Singapore this Sep 20, at Chinese chocolate shop Kobe Fugetsudo’s shop in Takashimaya’s room food hall.  ,
Grape Stone, the same company that brought these cookies in, is the source of the incredibly popular Asian memory snack Tokyo Banana.  ,
Sugar Butter Tree biscuits are described as ‘ cheese grain cookies’, with a bread basic made from , a mixture of wheat grains, whole grains and wheat.
Although seasonal flavors like walnut and melted butter caramel are available in Japan, the crumbling, buttery treats are generally layered with white chocolate cream filling.
For its launch in Singapore, only the original white choc-flavoured cookies will be available here, and sold in packs of either seven pieces ( S$ 11 ) or 14 pieces ( S$ 21 ). That’s around twice the price of what you’d pay in Japan – Sugar Butter Tree’s website lists it at , ¥572 ( S$ 5.20 ) for seven pieces, and , ¥1, 134 ( S$ 10.31 ) for a 14-piece pack. Also cheaper than buying an heat solution, we guess.
