Japanese AI tool predicts when recruits will quit jobs

Tokyo: Bosses who are concerned about turnover or how much a new hire will stay put can now get in touch with AI to find out who might be the future to leave.

Japanese researchers created the artificial intelligence tool to assist professionals in providing employees with specific assistance in preventing them from leaving.

It was founded by Tokyo City University doctor Naruhiko Shiratori with a start-up based in the Chinese money and uses information from employees at a company, from their attendance records to private information like age and gender.

To create a churn concept for each company, the tool also analyzes employee data from those who quit or took leave of absence.

Then when fed data on new recruits, it predicts who is at risk of quitting “in percentage points”, Shiratori, a media education expert, told AFP on Friday ( Apr 19 ).

We are already creating a design for each company we test the AI application with. “
