Iswaran expected to plead guilty after prosecution replaces corruption charges with lesser charges

SINGAPORE: Former transport minister S Iswaran is expected to plead guilty on&nbsp, Tuesday ( Sep 24 ), after the prosecution&nbsp, replaced his two corruption charges with lesser ones under Section 165.

According to Section 165, accepting or obtaining useful items from someone who works for them in a public power is an offense.

Iswaran, 62, &nbsp, is the first&nbsp, social office-holder in Singapore to be tried in court in almost five decades.
