Iswaran, who faces a number of corruption charges, was given authority next month to travel to Australia between Feb. 16 and Mar. 4 to assist his brother in getting into college.
In response to media inquiries, an Attorney-General’s Chambers ( AGC ) spokesperson said,” The defense filed an application to extend Mr. Iswaran’s permission to leave jurisdiction by 16 days, until Mar. 19, 2024, because he had fallen ill while he was in Australia.”
