Ridwan Kamil, a former governor of West Java, has been chosen as the applicant for a partnership of 13 government-aligned events, leaving no other events to support Anies, who is not a part of a political party.
Anies did not respond to Reuters ‘ request for comment right away.
The high-profile Jakarta government place, when held by Jokowi, is seen as a stepping stone to the president.
New studies, including this quarter, showed Anies had an 8-point result in the Jakarta challenge.
Jokowi and his alleged attempts to sea up his strength center before he steps down this October have received a lot of criticism for Pramono’s election.
Anies had claimed that the Jokowi administration had wrongfully interacted with the campaign, including through popular pork-barrelling, which the government had denied during his presidential campaign. He repeatedly contested the outcomes in court.
