Indonesian president starts US visit with call to Trump ahead of Biden meeting

After making an official visit to Washington, which includes a meeting with President Joe Biden on Tuesday ( Nov 12 ), Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto thanked Donald Trump for his victory in a phone call.

Prabowo, who has stated that he will do a non-aligned international plan, posted a picture of his meeting with President Xi Jinping on his first international trip since taking office last month, showing how he had met with him there.

” Wherever you are, I’m willing to fly to thank you physically, sir”, Prabowo said in the picture of the phone posted on his social media accounts.

” We’ll do that, whenever you want”, Trump replied.

Prabowo’s business said he made the call on Monday after arriving in Washington. When questioned about whether Trump is scheduled to meet with him in people, it did not respond right away.

Trump praised his success in the election as incredible and gave him a significant authority. ” We had great achievements. The most effective in over 100 years, they say”, he said.

Trump also said the Indonesian leader was “very respected”, and praised his English, to which Prabowo, a former special forces captain, replied:” All my teaching is American, sir”.

Prabowo reacted to Trump’s attempted assassination while fighting and expressed horror and comfort that he had survived.

” Yes, I got very lucky. I just happened to be in the right place with the right direction, otherwise I would n’t be talking to you right now”, Trump replied.

According to his company, Prabowo also met with representatives from many US companies in Washington, including Chevron and Freeport McMoRan, and urged them to make investments in Indonesia.
