Indonesia and Vietnam agree to upgrade strategic ties

JAKARTA: Indonesia and Vietnam agreed on Monday ( Mar 10 ) to upgrade ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership as the Southeast Asian allies ‘ leaders met in Jakarta to mark 70 years of diplomatic relations.

Vietnamese Communist Party public minister To Lam held conversations with President Prabowo Subianto in the Indian capital to improve economic and military assistance.

” We have agreed in our conference that we want to increase our relationships, our assistance. We want to improve our relationships to a complete corporate relationship”, Prabowo told a media conference after their meeting.

” We really want to improve and engage in almost all domains”.

He said they agreed to enhance cooperation on fish, the online business, the green market, high-tech companies, and defence and security.
