
India’s prime minister Narendra Modi remarked that the country’s resolve to “fight terrorism is unshakeable” as its security forces conducted a major manhunt on Wednesday ( Apr 23 ), a day after gunmen opened fire on tourists, killing 26 people in the region’s deadliest attack on civilians since 2000.
In a Facebook post, Modi, who had a state visit to Saudi Arabia, decried the “heinous work” and said the adversaries” may be brought to justice” for the shortcoming incident.  ,

Our unwavering commitment to battling violence will only grow stronger.
He expressed his condolences to those who have lost loved ones and condemned the invasion in the area.
He stated that he is praying for the wounded to return at the earliest and that possible guidance is being offered to those affected.
The prime minister made a second visit to India on Wednesday morning, where he met with the country’s foreign secretary, national security adviser, and another senior leaders.
A defense ministry standard reported that a particular security cabinet meeting was scheduled for 12.30pm GMT.
Before the meeting, Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said,” We will not only reach those who have perpetrated this affair but also those who, sitting behind the scenes, have conspired to commit such acts on the land of India.”
At a memorial presentation for a former Indian Air Force captain, he said,” There will be a loud and clear reaction quickly.”
