An Indian man was killed climbing Mount Everest, according to the expedition leader from Nepal on Friday ( May 16 ), making it the second fatality of the climbing season this year.
Subrata Ghosh, 45, died on Thursday at the summit of the 8,849-meter top, about 50 meters below the conference.
” It appears he was worn out and was exhibiting symptoms of altitude sickness. We are awaiting his return for more information, according to Snowy Horizon Treks and Expeditions ‘ Bodha Raj Bhandari.
Ghosh was a native of the state of West Bengal, which borders Bangladesh.
Because thin weather and low oxygen levels increase the risk of altitude sickness, areas above 8 meters are known as the “death area.”
On the way to the mountain, a Filipino man from the same team died on Wednesday.
Since the road first opened next week, more than 50 climbers have made the most of a short spell of fine weather.
Nepal is home to eight of the top ten peaks in the world, and it welcomes thousands of climbers there each spring when the weather is usually calmer and the conditions are warmer.
More than 800 climbing made it to Everest last season, including 74 from northern Tibet, making it possible. Eight people were killed, including trekkers from Nepal, Mongolia, Kenya, the UK, and India.
