In response, AP Singh, a lawyer for the priest, denied wrongdoing by organisers, saying they did never conceal something from government, adding instead that the panic was part of a crime by “anti-social parts” whom he did not identify.
Nine individuals involved in the event’s planning have been detained by police, according to Singh.
The panel’s “possibility of a big crime behind the incident,” according to the government, still needed investigation.
A top district established in Hathras, the site of the incident, gave consent for the occasion without inspecting the location, the state authorities added.
According to a statement from the government, local government and police officers did not take the incident significantly and did not inform senior leaders.
They have been held accountable for a lack of care in carrying out their duties, the statement continued.
The love occurred when followers ran after the priest’s departing car, yelling at one another to ask for his gifts and take a closer glance at him.
