The struggle for the South centers on philosophy. The Dravidian philosophy, which essentially unites South Indians as a single identification, is the foundation of the local parties.  ,
Unlike the BJP’s Hindu nationalism, which is seen to be about Hinduism or Hindi, Dravidian functions, at various times in history, have preached a patriotism specific to the South in order to safeguard its culture, language and objectives.  ,

Mr Chandrasekhar said:” Despite Tharoor having won three words, there are enough signs of neglect. The citizens of South India have been poisoned for a long time. Modi is the one who is promoting economic growth, advancement, and opportunities for all Indians.
The BJP’s pitching of Mr Chandrasekhar, seen as an attempt to stop Mr Tharoor from winning a third time, signifies how powerfully the group is trying to make gains in the South, said spectators.
