India children fall ill ‘after dead snake found in school meal’

The human rights organization of India is looking into reports that more than 100 babies died from eating college meal after a dead snake was discovered in the food.

According to the National Human Rights Commission ( NHRC ), the cook reportedly remained open for lunch despite taking the dead animal out of it.

According to the committee, 500 children are thought to have received the food in the northeast Indian city of Mokama.

Citizens reportedly blocked a street in protest after children started getting tired, according to the NHRC.

The committee noted that the material raise a serious issue of students being violated by their human rights, if they are accurate.

The free school meals, also known as the Mid-Day Meal, were first introduced in the southern city of Chennai ( Madras ) in 1925 for children from underprivileged families.

It was one of the biggest initiatives ever launched to overcome starvation and increase school attendance. However, there have been concerns about bad food health.

23 children in Bihar state died as a result of contamination in their meal in 2013.

According to police, “very dangerous” levels of a pesticide had been found by medical tests.
