Sitthanan, 25, is captured on a nearby CCTV camera in Uttaradit on April 8 riding a bicycle with his child.

A former illegitimate foreign migrant worker was detained on suicide watch after being detained on Thursday for killing his 10-year-old child at a hotel in Uttaradit, according to the municipal police.

Sitthanan ( surname not given ), 25, was caught in Tha Pla district on Wednesday while on the run after murdering his daughter, Koi, on Monday.

According to the authorities, Mr. Sitthanan admitted to the murder, claiming that he had been subjected to intense pressure because he had worked illegally abroad and been sent back to Thailand.

He was unable to pay the large amount of debts resulting from his unlawful employment. He vowed to murder his child before committing suicide because he believed there was no way out of his financial quandary.

But, when the time came, he became distrustful about killing himself.

According to Pol Maj Gen Sutthipong Pekthong, the Uttaradit municipal police chief, Mr. Sitthanan had been taken out of the Tha Pla authorities train and was being held in the Muang place.

Since Mr. Sitthanan is thought to be a death threat, officers have been keeping an eye on him 24/7.

The man admitted trying to commit suicide many times, even after resolving to do so after killing his daughter, according to the captain.

Before moving Koi from his parents ‘ home in tambon Sri Phanom Mat in Laplae district to a resort in Muang district, Pol Maj Gen Sutthipong claimed that Mr. Sitthanan had planned the murder for at least two days.

Mr. Sitthanan smothered his child it with a cushion before severing her wrists.

After that, he made it on a bike to Tha Pla, where he was taken into custody by officers.

Koi, his sole kid, had been living with her parents in tambon Sri Phanom Mat, according to the police chief, who described Mr. Sitthanan as a single parent.

Mr. Sitthanan admitted to being hungry because of the high debt he owed to the authorities.

He said he wanted to attend his mother’s death to repent to her, but authorities have denied the request.

Mr. Sitthanan has been charged with murder, and he may immediately face additional charges.

Pol Col Kraisit Pompatima, commander of Muang city policeman, said Mr Sitthanan’s families had told police their child was suffering from depression. However, the researchers were unsure as to whether patients had a tendency to harm themselves more than others.

Mr Sitthanan’s father, who was not named, said that after returning from abroad, his brother had landed a job at a messenger firm in Uttaradit. He was a adoring father to his child, he said.

He claimed that his brother had picked Koi up from his house so they could take her for a dinner and watch a video together.

Eventually, when the parents texted Mr. Sitthanan asking where he was taking his daughter, he responded with what appeared to be a death statement, according to the claim.
