Illegal migrants caught heading for jobs in Malaysia

On Tuesday, authorities in the Hat Yai area detained 24 illegal migrants from Myanmar who wanted to work in Malaysia, as well as a Thai driver and a Myanmar intermediary.

A delivery vehicle was seized and stopped early on Tuesday morning in Hat Yai city by a group of immigration and local police.

Three illegals from Myanmar were discovered inside his delivery, prompting the arrest of vehicle Wicharn Pinkaeo, 70, of the truck.

A 25-year-old Myanmar gentleman who arrived on a bike to join the three workers was likewise detained. The man’s work, according to the police, was to care for them until transportation arrived to muggle them into Malaysia.

In Helmet Yai, where 21 illegal refugees from Myanmar were discovered, three row houses were searched as part of the investigation. They were even awaiting transportation to operate in Malaysia.

According to the alleged doubting, Mr. Wicharn claimed that he was being paid 1,500 baht per mind to mug illegal immigrants from Surat Thani to Hat Yai.

The Thai drivers and all of the Myamar nationals were being held by the authorities for legal action.

The international people smuggling network investigation was still pending.
