Illegal job seekers caught near Myanmar border

On Wednesday night, two job applicants from Myanmar were detained after crossing the border without legal immigration into the Thong Pha Phum city.

Men, authorities and regional military individuals detained the 17 people and five girls in a forested&nbsp, place near Wat Phutthaborisat, Moo 2 community, in tambon Tha Khanun around 8am.

None of them had&nbsp, travel records. They appeared exhausted and had entered improperly using natural pathways, according to officers.

After a guard led by community key Somporn Khamenkhetkarn earlier reported comoing across a parked, clear pickup truck with lots of footsteps around it, the group was sent to investigate.

During doubting, the workers said they had paid 13, 000- 15, 000 ringgit each to employment seekers for guaranteed work in Thailand. They were waiting for Tansport to travel to their places of employment after crossing into Thailand improperly.

All cases were turned over to the Thong Pha Phum authorities for legal action.
