Illegal Chinese migrants from Myanmar arrested in Ayutthaya

Police have arrested five Taiwanese people after they entered Thailand improperly from Myanmar via Tak state.

Bridge police chief Pol Maj Gen Kongkrit Lertsitthikul said officials arrested five Chinese people in two delivery vehicles on Highway 32 in Bang Pa-in city of Ayutthaya on Wednesday.

Jittikorn Saejang, 31, one of the Thai individuals, said he had been hired for 6, 500 ringgit to pick up the people from Tak. He said he was conscious that they were illegal workers.

The five Chinese men told officers through a speaker that they had walked through a healthy borders cross to Mae Sot city of Tak and were heading for Bangkok for jobs.
