‘ Doctor’ from a major TV host and wellness center, among people, taken into custody.
As they continued to compile information against the website sales business, authorities on Wednesday detained image Group founder and CEO Warathaphon” Boss Paul” Waratyaworrakul and 14 others on suspicion of scams.
Mr Warathaphon, 41, was taken into custody at the Consumer Protection Board department at around 4pm. He was present to discuss the state of his company, which is being looked into for admitted arch selling and fraud.
On suspicion of common scams and obtaining false information into a pc system, the Criminal Court on Wednesday approved arrest warrants for Mr. Warathaphon and 17 people, some of whom are artists.
Mr. Warathaphon was searched by soldiers from the Consumer Protection Police Division and the Crime Suppression Division. He was later transported to Bangkok’s Central Investigation Bureau ( CIB ) headquarters.
As of Wednesday evening, 15 of the 18 people named in the permits had been taken into custody, with three still at large.
Kan Kantathavorn, a well-known TV network and professional linked to The image Group, was brought to the CIB at 7.30pm. His incarceration followed that of two different offenders, Jirawat Saengpakdee and Kanokthorn Puranasukhon.
Arrested earlier were Mr Panjarat” Boss Tan” Kanokrakthanaphorn, Tananont” Boss Mor Ek” Hiranchaiwan, Ms Natpasorn” Boss Suay” Chatthanasor, Ms Yasikan” Boss Soda” Ekchisanuphong, Nantharat” Boss Om” Chaowanapreecha, Thawinphas” Boss Win” Phupattanarin, Hassayanont” Boss Pop” Ekchisanuphong, and brand Yuranunt” Sam” Pamornmontri.
Mr. Tananont’s arrest came after a previous fruitless search of his location at the image Wellness center in Bangkok. He is accused of fraudulently presenting himself as a doctor of medicine despite having the credentials to work as a medical technologist.
Even in prison were three more people of The image Group: artist Pechaya” Boss Min” Wattanamontree, Ms Wilailak” Boss Oil” Jengsuwan, and Thanarot” Boss Off” Thitijariyawat.
The Crime Suppression Division’s captain, Pol Maj Gen Montree Theskhan, instructed building control to set up the interrogation rooms and have the cleaning staff do the cleaning of the detention areas.
More than 1, 100 people have filed fraud complaints against The iCon Group, which sold health and dietary supplements.
By providing affordable online sales courses, the business attracted a lot of customers. However, once they enrolled, they were asked for more money to spend on products, followed by more money to spend on advertising for the new hires.
