‘I will fight to the end’: S Korea’s Yoon defends martial law order

Yoon Suk Yeol, the leader of South Korea, has defended his surprise declaration of martial law as evidence that he did so to safeguard the government’s politics.

In a shock televised address on Thursday, he said the test was a legal decision to “prevent the decline” of democracy.

Yoon has even suggested that he would not move down despite growing calls for him to retire or be impeached.

” I will remain solid whether I’m impeached or investigated”, he said. ” I will fight to the end”.

The senator and his allies are now facing rebellion charges, and several of them have received go bans.

However, Yoon has refuted claims that his martial law was an uprising and that his political rivals are now promoting “false instigation” against him.

Nevertheless, he added that he would not prevent his “legal and social responsibilities”.

After people of the president’s personal ruling party boycotted the vote, opposition politicians attempted to impeach the president next weekend, but opposition people are scheduled to hold another impeachment vote this weekend and have pledged to keep one until Yoon is removed.
