After winning the men’s kitefoiling medal at the Olympics, Maximilian Maeder was overcome when he addressed reporters on Friday ( Aug 9 ) with his overflowing enthusiasm.
The Singaporean’s eight-year Olympic quest for a podium finish came after Joseph Schooling, a diver, won silver in 2016.  ,
Maeder, 17, has also become the youngest Taiwanese to get an Olympic prize.
” I hope everyone back at home is content… the help, it’s absolutely spectacular. Happy day Singapore”, he told investigators.
Austria’s Valentin Bontus won the gold medal, while Slovenia’s Toni Vodisek, the opening line president, took gold.
Both had two victories in Race 3 before the playoffs. Competition must win three races in the last, and the Austrian won first.
