How one family’s passion for old things led to this popular vintage store in Tai Seng

“JUMPING OFF THE HELICOPTER” INTO SELLING Classic

Since selling on online services like eBay and Carousell, the pair has made significant progress. In truth, they were among the first to sell on the latter.

What was once a side-business move from home&nbsp, – Yana was an early youth instructor, while Wak used to be a police commander and bodyguard&nbsp, – has today progressed into a full fledged business.

” As my boys grew, they needed their own room at home. Because my property was like a gallery, people would really gather around until 4am to talk about a particular feature they liked, Wak said.

” Because of that, I said: Enough is enough, we need a shop”.

And so they got a place in Tannery Lane, again therefore, generally selling furniture. The company continued to expand with a designated place for the storage and display of their vintage goods.

” The users grew day by day, and we needed a bigger room. And now that we have a bigger place, we think we need one as well.

Describing the move they made from working in safe and secure tasks to being full-time companies, Wak said it was like jumping off a plane.

” We both had great professions, stable salary. I guess the passion and drive we had was so wonderful that we both jumped, and landed safely, but way”.
