House Speaker Chuan admitted to hospital after catching Covid

Home Speaker Chuan Leekpai has been admitted to Ramathibodi Hospital right after testing positive pertaining to Covid-19, though their symptoms are mild for the time being, it was reported on Tuesday.

Mr Chuan said he made a decision to take a Covid test after he woke up feeling fatigued in the morning.

He used 2 antigen test packages to determine if he had an infection or not, each of which returned a positive result.

The 83-year-old politician then rushed to the hospital to undergo additional checks.

His doctors recommended him to stay at the hospital for a couple of times until his problem improves.

He said he first felt the outward symptoms after visiting previous Nakhon Si Thammarat MP Thepthai Senpong in prison upon Monday.
