Hot Songkran weekend ahead

Over the Songkran Thai New Year holiday, which ends on Monday, blistering temperature is anticipated.

After some parts of the country just experienced summer storms, Surajit Jit- areerat from the Meteorological Department yesterday declared that hot weather may continue over the weekend.

The division has advised people to avoid staying outside for too long and anticipates temperatures to rise up to 41 degrees Celsius in some areas, including the money.

Songkran Day this year falls on Saturday, but many regions, including Hat Yai town, now started splashing water on Thursday evening.

The Maha Songkran World Water Festival 2024, which is being held in Bangkok on Thursday and runs until Monday, was officially launched by the Commerce and Sports Ministry.
