According to Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, Mr. Lee and his founding group defied the odds to create a country that is anchored in democracy, strengthened by financial resilience, and held together by a strong dedication to harmony.  ,

Let us honor his tradition not just in memory, but in action as we mark SG60 and map our next chapter. The writing of the Singapore narrative is still in progress. This build a brighter future together that is deserving of the basis he laid.
As Mr. Lee’s casket was transported via gun carriage from Parliament House to his state funeral services at the University Cultural Centre, Mr. Wong even shared a photo of Singaporeans lined the streets while holding tents and Singapore colors.  ,
The condition funeral procession spanned a 15.4 km of famous landmarks, including City Hall, the Padang, and homeland places. Despite the damp wind, thousands of people lined the streets to pay their respects.  ,

Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong even expressed condolences for Mr. Lee’s crossing and said that Singaporeans will be forever inscribed in his memory for his contributions to the country.  ,
He was our parents or father, and he meant the world to me and my home. Perhaps we live up to his aspirations and always make him proud.
On September 16, 1923, the delayed Mr. Lee was born. He attended Fitzwilliam College in Cambridge, England, and Raffles College in Singapore.
He founded the Women’s Action Party in 1954, and he served as Secretary General upward until 1992.
He served succeeding words before resigning in November 1990 as Singapore’s excellent secretary in 1959.  ,
Goh Chok Tong, the prime minister, then appointed Mr. Lee as top secretary. He was re-appointed again after the 1991, 1997 and 2001 General Elections.
He was appointed by Lee Hsien Loong, the prime minister, as Minister Mentor, in August 2004, and was reappointed once more after the 2006 General Elections.
He resigned as a secretary coach in May 2011 and was made Singapore Investment Corporation’s Top Advisor.
He died on Mar 23, 2015, at the age of 91.
