According to the Department of Highways, there were 992 fatalities on federal routes in October, with 126 fatalities and 700 injury.

According to a report from the department’s Bureau of Highway Safety on Wednesday, there were 1, 570 cars involved in the 992 bridge injuries during the month, with harm estimated at 11 million baht.

Highway injuries decreased by 33 % during the same time next year. Additionally, fatalities decreased by 22 %, &nbsp, as well as injuries by 32 % and the number of vehicles involved by 3 %.

The most frequent attributed cause was speeding, which accounted for 74 %, followed by drivers dozing off ( 7 % ) and cutting in front of other vehicles ( about 7 % ).

37 % of accidents involved pickup trucks, 30 % involved passenger cars, 10 % involved motorcycles, and 8 % involved trucks with at least 10 wheels.

The most accidents occurred in Bangkok and the surrounding provinces ( 24 % ), followed by the East ( 17 % ) and North ( 15 % ). &nbsp,

With 57 accidents, Highway No. 9 on the Bang Pa-in-Ram Intra way had the most fatalities.

According to the department&nbsp, it is collaborating with highway authorities to minimize injuries by strictly enforcing the law, especially when it comes to speeding vehicles.
