Heavy rain triggers flash flood warnings across Singapore

On Saturday ( Nov. 16 ), Singapore experienced flash flood warnings for over 10 locations across the country.

Singapore’s regional water company PUB issued an expert at around 3pm, saying heavy weather is expected over the north, eastern and western regions of Singapore.

PUB after issued flash flood risk alerts for the following areas:

  • Dunearn Road, between Yarwood Avenue and Binjai Park
  • The Senja Way-to-Senja Way-to-KJE Expressway Slip Road (KJE to Woodlands Road )
  • Eng Kong Place, between Greenridge Crescent and Eng Kong Garden
  • Toh Tuck Rise and Lorong Kismis at the intersection
  • Sunset Drive and Sunset Terrace intersection
  • Sunset Way Road and Sunset Drive cross each other.
  • Bukit Timah Road, between Wilby Road and Blackmore Drive
  • Between Enterprise Road and International Road, Jalan Boon Lay is located.
  • Junction of Pasir Panjang Road and Neo Pee Teck Lane
  • Tampines Expressway ( Punggol West Flyover ) &nbsp,

The Meteorological Service of Singapore predicted that the most frequent and torrential rain would be caused by the north-east rain up until the end of November in its monthly forecast released on Friday.

The Met Service also said that the island’s overall snowfall would be “above common” for the next two months.

On some gloomy times, normal temperature highs of about 23 degrees Fahrenheit can be expected, it added.
