On Saturday, display storm warnings were issued for 10 sites across Singapore, with , the heaviest snowfall of 108.4mm recorded in northern Singapore from 2.10pm to 4pm.
This amount is about 43 per cent of Singapore’s average monthly rainfall in November, and lies within the major 3 per cent of highest daily rainfall information since 1978, PUB said on Saturday.
The Meteorological Service of Singapore predicted that the most frequent and torrential rain would be caused by the north-east rain up until the end of November in its monthly forecast released on Friday.
The Met Service also said that the island’s overall snowfall would be “above common” for the next two months.
On some gloomy days, normal temperature highs of about 23 degrees Fahrenheit can be expected, it added.
