Due to the influence of former storms Yagi, which was downgraded to a tropical cyclone on Sunday night, weather forecasters predict heavy storms to remain in Thailand’s North and higher Northeast.
At 7am on Sunday, the Meteorological Department reported that Yagi had changed from a severe tropical wind to a tropical cyclone in Vietnam. It was moving westward, and it would eventually turn into a melancholy and low-pressure region.
Under the circumstances, the North and lower Northeast will maintain to have heavy storms and thunderstorms, the department said.
In the meantime, heavy rains will fall in the East and the eastern coast of the South due to the strong rain over the lower part of the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the lower part of the Gulf of Thailand.
The Meteorological Department advised Sunday that little boats in the middle Andaman Sea and the lower portion of the Gulf of Thailand do not keep shore.
